Fans were surprised when Ant McPartlin and Jamie Redknapp stepped out on a double date with their wives.
The Britain's Got Talent host, 48, was spotted out with his pregnant wife, Anne-Marie Corbett, on Friday as he met A League of Their Own Star, Jamie, and his other half, Frida Andersson, for lunch in London. The foursome was snapped catching up at The River Cafe.
And it turns out the two men have been pals for years and share some funny memories together. Former Liverpool FC footballer Jamie, 50, also has a wealth of parenting experience valuable to Ant, who will become a first-time dad this year. Jamie and Ant are both twice-married and doting stepdads to their spouse's children from previous marriages.

The youngster, Raphael, was born in November 2021. Frida also has four children from her marriage to American hedge fund tycoon Jonathan Lourie: a girl and three boys.
While Ant is set to become a dad this year and has two teenage stepdaughters from Anne-Marie's previous marriage to businessman Scott Corbett, whom she divorced in 2017. Ant previously opened up about his struggles to conceive with ex-wife Lisa Armstong during their 11-year marriage before their split in 2018.

Both Jamie and Ant are part of the same social circle and have been to many celebrity bashes together. In September 2023, they both attended David Walliams' lavish 52nd birthday in London, alongside a string of BGT stars, singers and actors. And back in December 2015, they both went to Frank and Christine Lampard's luxurious London wedding.

The ex-footballer joined his dad, Harry Redknapp, to go undercover for a comical skit. As Ant and his co-host Declan Donnelly told them what to do and say in their earpieces, Jamie found himself in fits of giggles and choking on his tea.
At the time, Jamie posted a snap of the four of them on his Instagram and shared his love for pal Ant. He wrote: "So much fun on @antanddec @itvtakeaway. Adore these guys always so funny and brilliant, and so nice to spend time and laugh with my dad." Two years later, he reposted a clip of the show and reflected: "One of my favourite memories with you dad. We couldn't stop laughing."
It came after his dad Harry became good friends with Ant and Dec while appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2018. The year after he won, son Jamie was offered a spot in the jungle but turned it down. At the time, he told Metro: "I got asked this year to do it, but not really, no. I'd be useless anyway. I'd show my true side which wouldn't be good."
