Lauren Goodger has been told she looks identical to another TOWIE star after showcasing her ‘dark’ transformation.

As she paraded her new brunette locks on Instagram, it didn't go unnoticed that the beauty looks more than a bit like Chloe Brockett. Lauren recently returned to the reality show amid Chloe's dramatic departure but fans could be forgiven for thinking they're seeing double.

She showed off her new style on her grid, the mirror selfie going down well on the platform as she posed up a storm. She captioned the snaps: "Back to the dark." One of her followers told her: "Brunettes do it better" while another said to the star: "I love it, darker makes your beautiful eye pop."

She first joined TOWIE in 2010 and left in series six, leaving fans heartbroken. The show helped launch her TV career as she went on to appear in Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and Celebs Go Dating. She suffered her fair share of heartache while on the programme but says it felt right going back.

Lauren previously dated her TOWIE co-star Mark Wright for ten years before the pair split in 2012. She then dated builder and football player Charles Drury. The couple who share daughter Larose together sadly lost their second child Lorena last year two days after welcoming her to the world. The same month her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean also tragically died in a car crash after losing control of the vehicle in Turkey.

Recently, she has opened up about experiencing "scary" panic attacks and suggests they contributed to her decision to stop drinking alcohol. Lauren spoke to OK! magazine and shared that her priority at the moment is being a parent to her daughter Larose and protecting her mental health. She teased that quitting alcohol has been part of her efforts.

She said in the interview: "I haven't really drank much now for the last four years. It's only on odd occasions mainly because of becoming a mum and also the trauma of losing my daughter, plus everything else that I went through around that time. It was horrendous."

"I'd get panic attacks and anxiety when I drank. I did try drinking a few times a couple of months apart, but it never agreed with me. I get anxiety and panicky with or without alcohol but [the panic attacks] were scary," she continued. Lauren - who was an original cast member on the ITVBe show, which launched in 2010, but later left in 2015 - told the outlet that she loved an occasion pornstar martini, glass of wine or prosecco. She however shared that her 'days of partying' are behind her.

Discussing her decision, she said: "I decided to go sober because I just wanted to heal from everything that happened in my life. I wasn't heavily drinking, but when I did have a drink it just made me feel worse. I'm not sure if I will ever drink again."
