Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb achieved a lifetime ambition by smashing the London Marathon - but it doesn't seem like he'll be going back for more next year!

He called the weekend mega mission the "hardest thing" he's ever done as he vowed "never again" before being flooded with praise by his fellow co-stars and fans. The Scottish actor, known for his role as Mackenzie Boyd in the ITV soap since 2020, did superbly to get around every one of the 26 miles and he was inundated with messages following the gruelling run.

He wasn't the only soap star taking part. EastEnders duo Jamie Borthwick and Emma Barton took on the challenge too with other cast members watching on from the sidelines. They were also greeted by onscreen family members at the finish line to congratulate them as they got their medals.

Lawrence had been sharing updates from his training on his social media page ahead of the big day on Sunday which saw a record number of people take part. Lawrence first revealed he was doing the marathon in the New Year. The actor explained that he was raising money for a charity close to his heart, Samaritans, which aims to provide support to those in emotional distress or at risk of taking their own life.

He announced he was taking part in the London marathon on Instagram, as he snuggled up to his pet dog, admitting he was 'crazy' for doing so. Sharing an update on how it went, Lawrence explained his girlfriend would 'break up' with him if he ever signed up again. He posted: "My girlfriend said she would break up with me if I ever ran another marathon, I'm here to find out why," in a TikTok video at the starting line. As he recorded himself running, he admitted: "I think I'm starting to see why!"

He also declared: "Help!" before later being seen close to tears before an adorable embrace with his girlfriend and pet pooch on the sidelines. Lawrence was also seen with his medal after completing the marathon as he candidly said: "I think it's fair to say that I definitely know why.... I'm never doing that again. I'm never doing it again!"

The TikTok video ended with a clip of Lawrence back at home as he appeared quite stiff walking around and made an intimate toilet-based admission. Captioning the post, he wrote: "Well that’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But the London marathon - completed it mate."

He added: "This is my best @raphaelrowe impression (it’s probably tragically bad) but it helped. Ach well. Thank you to all the support. You have no idea how much you helped! Unreal!" And his Emmerdale co-stars were quick to respond.

The actor rocked up to the Dales as Moira Dingle's long-lost trouble-making brother. He soon became a character fans love to hate and Mackenzie is set to be faced with an impossible choice. He will have to decide who to save in a shock crash on a cliff as both his ex-wife Charity Dingle and Chloe Harris are both in the car. Mack is able to escape, yet as the car begins to slip off the cliff both Charity and Chloe reach out for help.
