Peter Andre’s pregnant wife Emily says she's suffering with 'uncomfortable' contractions as she shared a clip of her experiencing Braxton-Hicks.
The couple first revealed they were expecting again in October, as they took to Instagram to post a snap of themselves holding scan images. They're expecting any day now - and Emily has been sharing some of her pregnancy steps as the big moment finally approaches.
The pair already share Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven, whilst the Mysterious Girl singer also has Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, from his previous marriage to Katie Price. They can't wait to add to their family and she has detailed some of the challenges women face in the final month of pregnancy.
The 34-year-old nurse told her followers in an Instagram video: "After Pete posted a video of me having a Braxton-Hicks contractions last week, I thought it was a good chance to share some more information about what they are and simple things you can do to help. So they are where the womb contracts and relaxes and not everyone has them in pregnancy.
"If you do have them they are a normal part of pregnancy and they tend to occur later on. So for me I've certainly have had a lot of Braxton Hicks and they catch me out when I'm least expecting it. It does vary from pregnancy, typically you'd expect them not to be painful, but uncomfortable. "Certainly for me it feels like my body turns into a football when it happens."
Pregnant Stacey Solomon brands herself an 'old fogy' over NYE plans with JoeEmily went on to explained how to pin-point the difference between Braxton-Hicks and labour, saying "The key things to look out for are, if they are random, infrequent and irregular; they wouldn't increase in intensity. Remember, always contact your midwife or maternity unit for advice if you are not sure whether you are having Braxton Hicks or labour contractions.
"If you have any vaginal bleeding, your waters break, you have strong/painful contractions every five minutes that last 30-60 seconds, or you have any concerns about your baby’s movements." They will become a mum and dad again pretty soon, but Emily hasn't announced her due date.
"We are delighted to share the news with you all," 50-year old Pete said at the time. "A new addition to our family in 2024. The kids are so excited. So are we." Pete has explained things are starting to feel "very real" as they edge closer to 34-year old Emily's due date. "The baby and Emily are both doing great – in fact the little one is kicking like crazy," he told OK! magazine.
"Emily and I recently did an exclusive photo shoot with OK! magazine, and even in the short time since then, her baby bump has really started showing. The whole family has been talking to the baby to make sure it recognises our voices. Things are becoming very real now."
