Leicester City stars toasted their Premier League promotion, with Jamie Vardy predictably at the heart of things.
The Foxes’ return to the top flight was officially confirmed on Friday evening as Leeds slumped to a 4-0 defeat to QPR. It rounds off a scintillating season for Enzo Maresca's side with 94 points already accumulated with two matches of the season to go.
Despite Leicester still having ambitions of beating Ipswich Town to the title, Foxes stars allowed themselves time to celebrate. Even before the full-time whistle at Loftus Road, star midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall took to Twitter.
He wrote: “Right… who’s out in Leicester tonight?” The academy prospect was also at the heart of a video shared on the club’s social media channels.
The squad was gathered together on Friday night at boss Enzo Maresca's house to take in Leeds’ defeat. Dewsbury-Hall pointed his camera at the TV screen and then turned to show himself, star winger Abdul Fatawu, as well as Mads Hermansen, Stephy Mavididi, Ricardo Pereira, Hamza Choudhury and Marc Albrighton.

One notable absence was top scorer Jamie Vardy. The striker has become known for his wild parties over recent seasons - the videos from Leicester’s Premier League title celebrations living long in the memory.

However, he appeared to be enjoying somewhat more of a lowkey evening. Former Leicester midfielder Dennis Wise took to Instagram with a video showing him on a video call to Vardy and his wife Rebekah.
It was accompanied by the caption: “Congratulations to my lovely friends @vardy7, @beckyvardy @lcfc on your promotion to the PL, now you can come to the last game @comofootball to hopefully bring us luck.”
Wise is currently the president of Italian side Como, who are embroiled in their own fight to earn promotion to Serie A. They sit second in the second tier - three points behind leaders Parma with four games remaining.
Ironically, current Leicester boss Maresca was sacked by the latter in his first managerial job. His time with Leicester has certainly been more successful.
The Italian had emulated Claudio Ranieri ahead of Leicester’s promotion and promised to spend his time with his children, eating pizza. However, a photo surfaced on social media showing the ex- Man City coach surrounded by his backroom staff, each toasting Leicester’s promotion with a glass in hand.
Maresca will be aiming to prolong the celebrations by winning the Championship title. The Foxes could be confirmed as champions as early as Monday - but only if Ipswich fail to beat Hull and Leicester overcome Preston at Deepdale.
They then take on relegation-threatened Blackburn in their final home game of the campaign before focus then switches to their immediate return to the Premier League.
