Rylan Clark has brightened up fans' mornings with a new topless selfie - but some were left doing a double take.
The BBC Radio 2 presenter posted a photo from his bed, lamenting having a hangover despite not drinking last night. In the pic, Rylan grips his tanned and toned torso with one hand, as he grimaces at the camera - his beard and eyebrows looking perfectly groomed. The 35-year-old captioned the pic: "Woke up with a hangover and a double chin and wasn’t even drinking. Y tho….."
His 2.1m followers were quick to comment, with some admitting they worried that the star's monochrome bedroom was a hospital set-up. One person wrote: "For some reason, your hand placement messed with my head," and concerned replies followed.
One social media user added: "I thought it was wires and he was in hospital". Another said: "For some reason, your hand placement messed with my head." Others were also caught up in the trick of the eye, questioning if he was revealing a scar or a tattoo.
But, for the most part, his loyal fans shared sympathy for waking up feeling tired and groggy. His best friend, former Apprentice star Tom Skinner, wrote: 'You're old & knackered mate. Might aswell get yourself a walking stick and a bag of werther's originals. Bosh." Other stars poking fun included Ruth Langsford, who said: "Clutching your side boob doesn’t hide it Son….just so you know!" and Denise Welch who quipped, "Luckily we've both got beards to cover the chins."

Fans love the former Celeb Big Brother winner and X Factor star's down to earth nature - which is a welcome tonic in the fickle world of stardom.
Earlier this month, Rylan told the Mirror he thinks the showbiz industry is “full of a***holes”. He said: “Like, full of entitled people that believe that they are something special, and that they can talk to people like sh*t, and that they can get away with it. And subsequently do get away with it.
“Going into that industry at 23 when I was on X Factor I learned that the hard way by seeing how people would treat me, a reality contestant. ‘He’s not going to be about in two weeks, I don’t need to make the effort to him’…”
Today, he is the face of This Morning, Supermarket Sweep, a Mamma Mia dating show and has his BBC Radio 2 show. Speaking to The 93% Club, the star shared how he won't forget how he was given his start at fame - and he will never turn down a selfie.
“If I’m walking about and someone asks for a photo I will always stop because my whole life was a public vote at one point," he told us. "If it weren’t for the public, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing in the first place.”
