Quinn Ewers has made a big impression on NFL scouts - even though he can't join the big league until next year.
The 21-year-old quarterback, who is impressing in college football with Texas, showed off his skills and got everyone talking about how good he is at the Pro Day event. He's played three seasons of college football and is eligible to play two more yet.
Texas coach Steve Sarkisian and NFL scouts were at the Pro Day event to see Ewers in action, as the emerging star found the likes of Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, Jordan Whittington, Ja'Tavion Sanders and Keilan Robinson with some eye-catching passes.

Onlookers such as CJ Vogel, a college football insider, were suitably impressed, as he said: "Quinn Ewers on the money to AD Mitchell and Xavier Worthy 50+ yards down the field at the Texas Pro Day."

Vogel later added: "Quinn Ewers had a perfect day throwing the ball at today’s Texas Pro Day aside from one single overthrow on a corner. Ewers was tremendous in front of 90+ NFL scouts and three NFL head coaches."
Meanwhile, fellow onlooker Alex Dunlap joined in the chorus of plaudits, saying: "Some nice deep balls from Quinn Ewers to Adonai Mitchell and Xavier Worthy #HookEm."

Ewers has missed the deadline for declaring for the NFL Draft for 2024 (Getty)Ewers could've been mentioned alongside other quarterback prospects, such as USC's Caleb Williams, LSU's Jayden Daniels, and UNC's Drake Maye if he were eligible for the draft, especially after throwing an impressive 3,479 yards in only twelve games last term.
But fans won't be seeing Ewers join the NFL just yet as his return to play for Texas in 2024 is already a done deal. When asked if there's any chance of him changing his mind, the star told an Austin American Statesmen reporter: "It's a little late for that."
Just a while back in Instagram, he confirmed his decision by saying: "One more year with my teammates and one more year of development with Coach Sark [Steve Sarkisian] made the most sense," while going on to talk up his excitement about improving in terms of his attributes, adding he wants to "grow as a leader and win more games" in the 2024 campaign.
He also told ESPN: "I want to be the quarterback who worked every year to get better. The quarterback who loved his teammates, the quarterback who won a lot of football games and brought Texas football back to the top of college football where it belongs.
