A repairman was left completely baffled by a client's bizarre note which greeted him at the front door and came with a set of brutal instructions.

It can be extremely frustrating when an appliance isn't working at home and you need to call up someone to fix it. Some may find it awkward letting a stranger into their home while others enjoy the company and having a chin-wag - either way, it has to be done if you want your appliance fixed.

When someone comes to your home to repair something, most people hello and offer them a drink out of courtesy. But one man made it clear that he was not going to be doing any of that - lining out a strict set of rules for getting the job done. The resident, who wishes to remain unnamed, called the fridge service technician out to his house for a job but informed him that he would not be at home while the work was being completed. Unfussed, the worker headed to the house to conduct the job but was gobsmacked by the savage message left by his client.

The client wrote: "Do NOT interact with my pregnant wife for ANY reason. Stay in the kitchen ONLY until you complete your job and leave quietly. Call me for key location - Dave." If that wasn't scathing enough, the client added a 'P.S' at the end of his note, and said: "We don't need or want your card."

The repairman was amused by the note, took a photograph of it and shared it with his wife - who shared it on Reddit. She said: "My husband is a repair technician working on their fridge." The post raked in over 9,000 reactions as people were stunned by the rude message from the client.

One individual wrote: "There's at least 100 other ways this could have been written were it didn't sound like it was written by a lunatic. "Is it really that hard to not be a d**k?," asked another. "It's so unnecessarily aggressive," added one other. "Omg that is actually insane," another commented.

One advised: "I let them in, show them where they’re going, tell them where the toilet is, offer a drink or tea and then disappear and tell them where I’ll be if they need me." But one individual agreed with the client who wrote the note, and said: "Honestly, great! I hate dealing with homeowners looking over my shoulders and asking a thousand ridiculous questions. Sounds like a peaceful afternoon to me."
