AMAZON'S five-day spring sale is coming to an end today: there are just hours left to pick up one of Apple's most popular products for less than usual.
The retailer has reduced the Apple AirPods Pro from £229 to £199 in a shock deal.
Amazon has reduced the USB-C Apple AirPods Pro by £30 in an early Spring Sale dealApple AirPods Pro (2nd-generation), £199 (was £229)
These noise-cancelling beauties from Apple hit the market back in September 2022, and every time there's a big sale we see them drop a little bit further in price.
They're currently 13% cheaper than usual.
How to de-clutter if you have a beauty stash to last you a lifetimeThe Amazon Spring Deal Days sale kicked off last Wednesday and runs until midnight today (Monday 25th March).
The iconic AirPods Pro are always in demand with shoppers: I see them literally all the time on Amazon's best-selling earbuds page.
These all-white beauties briefly fell to £189 back in February: right now, they cost £10 more.
They might not be at their lowest price ever, but I'm still calling £199 a great deal on what, after all, is one of the most popular pieces of premium audio tech on the market.
It'll be down to shoppers whether they strike now, or wait to see if the AirPods grow cheaper during future sales like Amazon Prime Day (unconfirmed, but probably happening in July).
This edition has the USB-C port that is now standard across all new Apple devices: gone are the days of Lightning cables.
This change came in the wake of a new EU law mandating that all electronic devices feature the same USB-C port by the end of 2024.
The Sun's Tech Editor Sean Keach tested the USB-C AirPods Pro back in September of last year.
In his AirPods Pro USB-C review, Sean noted the new Personalised Volume function that comes with the latest iOS 17 upgrade.
This feature automatically tweaks the sound profile depending on your environment: for example, if you start speaking, the volume will be decreased.
I’m a savvy shopper – best time to shop for Xmas 2023 is sooner than you thinkAlongside that, you've of course got the famed noise-cancellation tech that banishes external sound, which is now fine-tuned by an Adaptive Audio feature.
In his review, Sean concludes: 'At £229, you're targeting people who care a little bit more about decent audio and shutting out the din of modern life.
The price is fair for earbuds in this range, and there are no better headphones for the iPhone in terms of usability.'
On the Spring Deal Days webpage, I noticed that Amazon has also teased a series of Prime-only deals on a variety of tech and beauty products.
So when the five-day sale finally does start, Amazon Prime subscribers can expect discounts on the likes of the Tile Bluetooth Finder, the GHD Curve Thin Wand and the GHD Helios Hair Dryer.
I'll be closely watching what discounts appear during the Spring Sale: if you head to The Sun's tech deals page you'll find all the latest Amazon discounts.
