ENGLAND will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing Wembley defeat to Brazil when they host Belgium on Tuesday night.

This is the final match England will play ahead of Gareth Southgate naming his Euro 2024 squad, meaning fringe players will be keen to impress. The Belgians are unbeaten since the 2022 World Cup. They won’t want to give up that impressive record this close to the next major championship.

England vs Belgium betting preview

Neither side was overly impressive in their weekend fixtures.

England were disappointing in their 1-0 defeat to what was billed as the worst Brazil team in decades on Saturday. And Belgium were held to a 0-0 draw in Dublin by an Ireland side that has struggled in recent months and has an interim head coach trying to steady the ship.

The bigger picture can’t be lost in these results, though. England and Belgium are finalising preparations for the summer UEFA Euros in Germany. And although the results weren’t great, both managers will have learnt plenty about their fringe players.

And that theme is set to continue at Wembley tonight.

England is without a host of stars, including captain Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire, Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Belgium are without the injured Kevin De Bruyne, and Romelu Lukaku is a doubt.

This will be a test of both nations’ strength in depth, especially England’s.

The likes of Ivan Toney, James Madison and Jarrod Bowen are likely to be given chances against Belgium.

They have an opportunity to make Gareth Southgate’s job a little more difficult when he comes to name his squad for Germany.

Whether they will produce enough quality to win the match for England is debatable. A draw looks like the most likely outcome at Wembley tonight.

Under 2.5 goals (Spreadex)

Neither England nor Belgium looked like breaking any goal-scoring records in their respective matches on Saturday.

England has lost their last two and don’t want to lose a third. And Belgium are unbeaten since the 2022 World Cup. In short, a draw would suit both teams.

With no Harry Kane, England could be toothless in attack again tonight. One word of caution and that is Romelu Lukaku could yet turn out for the Red Devils tonight. But he isn’t a dead cert in front of goal either.

⚽ Back under 2.5 goals at 4/5 with Spreadex ⚽

Ezri Konsa to be booked (bet365)

Ezri Konsa impressed on his England debut when he came on to replace Kyle Walker at right back against Brazil on Saturday.

Against Belgium, Konsa could have his work cut out.

Okay, as we saw with Brazil’s continued hacking away at Jude Bellingham on Saturday, referees aren’t as fast at producing cards in friendlies as they are in competitive matches.

But if Konsa is continually getting the runaround from Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku, a bet on the Villa defender to pick up a card at 13/2 could be well worth a wager.

⚽ Back Ezri Konsa to be booked at 13/2 with bet365 ⚽

Declan Rice had 1+ fouls committed (Sky Bet)

Boosted from 4/6 to even money, a bet on Rice to commit one or more fouls looks well worth a punt.

The match is likely to be possession-based and played in the middle of the park. Rice will see a lot of the ball and will also need to be tenacious in his attempts to dispossess the Belgian playmakers.

⚽ Back Declan Rice to commit one or more fouls at 1/1 with Sky Bet ⚽
