MANCHESTER CITY star Jack Grealish has made fans happy with his down-to-earth interviews following the win over Chelsea.

The former Aston Villa player made an impact off the bench as he set up Riyad Marhez for the winning goal in the 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

But it was his interviews post-match that caught the eye as he came across as funny as well as humble speaking to the pundits on Sky Sports.

When speaking about his assist, he told Sky Sports: "When I have crossed it, and straight away I am thinking 'Erling [Haaland] has to be somewhere'.

"He is always in there, and I said to him 'where was you in there' and he goes 'I pulled back'.

When asked about whether Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizablaga should have intercepted his pass to Mahrez, Grealish was hesitant as he said: "I don't know, I wanna praise my cross", leaving the pundits laughing.

The 27-year-old also spoke about what happened before he came on as he said: "Desperate to come on, and the manager told Riyad to go warm up, and he didn't tell me.

"I thought 'I would go and warm-up, but I am not even coming on', next thing you know, Riyad says, 'Jack, we're going on', and I was like 'buzzing, see you later'."

Show host David Jones then asked Grealish if he knew that he went to the same school, St Peter's in Solihull, as pundit Karen Carney.

And the Manchester City winger was just as funny in his response as he said: "I have known that for a while. That is where our brainy minds come from".

He also gave an honest assessment of how his time at Manchester City has gone so far.

He joined the club for £100 million and became the most expensive British player of all time, but struggled to find his best form.

He said: "It’s so much different to what I was used to at Aston Villa.

"I’ve been at Villa my whole life, and I’ve never had to change. I didn’t realise how hard it is to adapt to another team.

"When I come here, it was so much more difficult. In my head, I was thinking, 'I came coming to a team at the top of the league, and I am going to score and assist so many goals', it was so much more difficult."

Fans loved the honesty in his interviews and took to social media to praise the attacker.

One tweeted: "Really lovely interview from Jack Grealish Just now. He seems to be following or maybe even spearheading the idea that we’re all just in love with football."

A second wrote: "That post-match interview with Jack Grealish was Absolute class! A proper top bloke is Jack."

A third added: "Jack Grealish interviews are class. In fact, the majority of England players' interviews these days are class.

"Just normal lads living the dream. Breath of fresh air this generation."

A fourth said: "United fan, hate to say, but I think he's a good lad. Also a great footballer. Would be better suited to United, I think."
