Dwayne put on a heart-melting performance for a two-year-old fan

Dwayne Johnson melted fans' hearts when he made a two-year-old’s wishes come true as she battles with a brain disorder.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 51-year-old actor shared a sweet rendition of You’re Welcome from Disney hit Moana in honour of two-year-old Naomi who is currently in hospital. During the video, the Rock read the message he had received from the Make A Wish foundation, adding that his young fan had asked for Uncle Maui (Dwayne’s character in the film) to send her a video of him singing her favourite song.

Speaking to his 379 million followers, The Jungle Cruise actor explained the seriously ill toddler’s life-threatening condition. He said: "Naomi’s eyesight is very limited due to her brain disorder but her sense to hear has been enhanced and she loves music." He added: "Naomi reacts positively to Moana’s song every time she hears Maui’s voice," before his stunning performance of the Disney hit.

In the heartfelt caption of his post, which has already garnered over 350,000 likes, the Black Adam actor wrote: "Naomi is 2yrs old and fighting the fight in hospital with a brain disorder. Her wish is for Maui to send her a video of him singing You’re Welcome. As we know, there’s a lot of noise and negativity out there, but I deeply believe that positive energy, light and mana can make a real difference in people’s lives - especially when it comes to our children who are struggling."

He added a heartwarming personal message to his young fan: "Naomi I hope you smile with this song and Uncle Maui will sing You’re Welcome anytime you need it." Before signing off: "Thank you everyone watching this for sending your mana and positive light."

Fans on social media rushed to send their well-wishes to Naomi as well as praise Dwayne for making her dreams come true. One wrote: "The nicest dude on earth", while another added: "Love you Dwayne! Keep fighting Naiomi we love you!" A third agreed: "Great job singing off the cuff like that for this little girl. Wishing her and her family all the best."
