Robin's Windsor's funeral has left his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars heartbroken as the star was laid to rest today.
The much loved dancer, 44, tragically died in February after being dead in a London hotel room. His family announced his funeral would be held in private in his home town of Ipswich, Suffolk over the weekend. And now his famous friends have paid their respects to the shining star.
Sharing a photo of Robin on Instagram, dancer Kevin Clifton simply shared Robin's name with a broken-hearted emoji. Also paying tribute to the talented performer was Strictly star, Janette Manrara. She shared a photo of the pals hugging with the caption: "Love you always." Arlene Phillips, who was former judge on the BBC show, replied to the post, saying: "Wow. This photo touched my heart," followed by another broken-hearted emoji. Also responding to the message was Pussycat Doll, Ashely Roberts, who was on the show in 2018 and posted a praying hands emoji.
A month on from the tragic news of his death, Robin's family released a statement sharing plans for his burial on Sunday. They explained the late star would be laid to rest at a private funeral which will be followed by a celebration of his life. The family also thanked fans for sharing their love and memories of Robin in recent weeks.
They said: "On Tuesday 26th March we will lay our beloved Robin to rest in his home town of Ipswich. The funeral will be a private service for invited family, friends and colleagues who were important to Robin in both his personal life and professional career.

News of Robin's death was announced on 20th February. A statement from Sisco Entertainment, which represented him in various areas of theatre and corporate entertainment, said: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved friend, Robin Windsor." They went on: "His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound with every step.
“Beyond his impeccable dancing, Robin’s vibrant spirit lit up the room, infusing rehearsals and performances with infectious energy and warmth. His laughter was contagious, his kindness boundless. His friendship was a gift cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robin, you will be deeply missed," they added: "Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in your light."
