And a new defender is at the forefront of the billionaire's mind.

Bremer fits into Man Utd's new transfer strategy, focused on signing younger players more likely to improve and retain or increase their value.

The 27-year-old's contract at Juventus remains in place until June 2028 - but he has a release clause of £52million.

And, according to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, the Red Devils are willing to pay it.

Although they could face some competition from Newcastle.

Bremer was named Serie A Best Defender of the Year 2021-22 while with Torino, before moving to city rivals Juve.

Before that, he made his senior debut with Brazil giants, Atletico Mineiro, in 2017.

Over this season at Juventus, the 27-year old has made 28 appearances, netting two goals.

As for Bremer, his is reportedly "not opposed" to the idea to moving to Erik ten Hag's side.

Even though it's claimed he believes staying at Juventus would improve his chances of representing Brazil in the 2026 World Cup.

United have also long been linked with Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the 24-year-old is valued at around £40m ahead of this summer's transfer window.
