ANT and Dec left Saturday Night Takeaway viewers convinced they would have 'nightmares' after they made a 'creepy' transformation.

The Geordie lads looked worlds away from the usual selves on their hit ITV series as they had a makeover for the End of the Show Show.

Ant and Dec, both 48, joined the famous performance artists Blue Man Group on stage for the episode's big farewell number, but rather than become blue the boys wore orange and green hues.

And many fans watching along at home were left creeped out by their bald heads and glowing appearance.

Some even compared Dec to Jim Carrey in the Mask, and Ant to an Oompa Loompa.

"Anyone else gonna have nightmares of Dec as the Mask?" one wrote on X/ twitter.

"Not sure if I like this, it's a bit creepy looking," another commented when the hosts posted their new look on instagram.

"You guys were really creepy tonight," agreed a third.

"Ngl it's a bit creepy this make up but loved the show guys," a fourth added.

"They were so weird but funny," chipped in a fifth.

Meanwhile, earlier in the show, Sam Thompson lived out a boyhood dream as he joined JLS on stage for a performance of the number one hit Everybody in Love.

As I'm A Celebrity...viewers will recall, the jungle king made no secret of his love for the X Factor boyband, prompting campmate Marvin Humes to invite him to perform with them on tour.

And last night, Sam made it clear that performing with the lads on TV had left him on cloud nine.

"I am the happiest man, if 17 year-old me could see this, he would die," he beamed. "I had vocal coaching for this!"

Just two weeks of the series remain, with Ant and Dec previously announcing the Saturday evening staple will be rested "for a little while" when the current run wraps.

But Ant and Dec found themselves in hot water last week when some viewers complained and threatened to call Ofcom.

They were angry over a segment that they felt wasted food, which they felt was poor taste when so many families are struggling in the cost of living crisis.

Cat Deeley appeared in the skit, seeking 'revenge' on the duo by making them eat porridge with "fermented tofu sauce".

The hosts, dressed as monsters, are then seen feeding each other spoiled porridge as per Cat's instructions.

They later appeared in a supermarket for another segment and were seen again 'wasting' food as they threw it about the place.

One user tweeted: "Why are you wasting perfectly good food, when there are many struggling to feed themselves and their families, disgusting #Shameful #itv #ofcom."

Another added: "Sorry, gone to far with wasting food, even if it's out of date. I wonder how many are watching this eating food from a food bank!!"
