Nadine Coyle has posted an emotional throwback of her and the late Sarah Harding from one of their last gigs, which was eight years prior to Sarah's tragic death.

Girls Aloud consisting of Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh, previously promised that their The Show tour would honour Sarah, who adored performing. In recent weeks, the chart-mauling group have played to sold-out crowds across the nation, performing some of their biggest hits including fan favourite, Girl Overboard.

The tour kicked off with a bang in Dublin on May 17, followed by a double-header at Belfast's SSE Arena. Now, the pop princesses are headlining Newcastle's Utilita Arena for the next two nights. Just hours before hitting the stage, Nadine, hailing from Derry, took time to reflect on memories of Sarah.

Posting a nostalgic picture from their Ten tour stop in Newcastle in 2013, Nadine captioned: "This was the last time Sarah and I were in this arena together!!! This was when we finished the show and stayed laughing in our dresses!"

Continuing her tribute, she wrote: "We are here again tonight and thinking about this time I was lucky enough to get to spend with Sarah!! When they say love like there is no tomorrow, it makes so much more sense now!" Fans flocked to the comment section of Nadine's post which has been liked over 35,000 times.

"Sarah loved you so much Nadine, you girls always looked like you had such fun. Memories can never be taken away," said one. A second added: "You and Sarah had a bond that nobody could describe. She loved you so much and would always tell everybody." Another typed: "I loved the friendship you and Sarah had. She is with all of you throughout this tour and I know she’s so proud of you girls."

Bandmate Kimberley penned: "Love this," with a heart emoji. Meanwhile, Nicola shared five heart emojis, one for each member of the group." Meanwhile, Sarah's niece, the daughter of her brother Dave penned: "You are such a diamond, Sarah loved you so much, you were a true friend to her, never forget how much love you both shared. You've got my number, I'm only ever a phone call away if you want to chat about Sarah, same with Dad and Grandma. We all love you so much."

During the concerts, Girls Aloud share a touching tribute to Sarah, with a video montage set to the tune of their hit Whole Lotta History. Her voice echoed through the venue during the opening of I'll Stand By You and her memorable "walking primrose" line in BRIT Award-winning single The Promise.

Sarah tragically died aged 39 in September 2021, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. In August of 2020, she told fans that it had advanced to "other parts" of her body. Following her devastating death, her bandmates who reconciled during her illness have vowed to keep Sarah's memory alive and have since become the faces of The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal and have raised vital funds to fund research into the illness in Sarah's honour.
