Social media influencer Mellstroy reportedly offered a £300,000 prize to the first person able to make it onto the pitch during the Champions League final.

The big match, which was held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, was halted after just 30 seconds as three pitch invaders, all donning shirts with MELLSTROY in large text, made their way onto the pitch.

One approached several Real Madrid players for selfies while another was apprehended by Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer. All three were eventually removed by security staff after a brief delay.

It has now been claimed that Mellstroy, a vlogger whose real name Andrey Burim, offered a $350,000 (£300,000) prize to the first person to make it onto the Wembley pitch wearing a shirt bearing his name.

The 25-year-old was born in Belarus and began streaming in 2015 after leaving college, playing popular games such as Minecraft.

He streams regularly on Kick and has over 470,000 followers on the platform. He also has a host of followers on social media platforms, including Instagram where he is followed by more than three million people.

At half-time of the Champions League final, a Wembley Stadium spokesperson revealed that all the pitch invaders had been arrested. They said: "It is illegal to enter the field of play at Wembley Stadium, and we strongly condemn the actions of those who interrupted the UEFA Champions League Final shortly after kick-off.

"All of the individuals have now been arrested. We will support the relevant authorities to ensure appropriate action is taken."

Play was halted for around two minutes in total while the pitch invaders were apprehended. TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher revealed that Sabitzer intervened to tackle one himself before security staff became involved.

Although the incident threatened to put a spoiler on the biggest match of the season, the football quickly regained centre stage during an enthralling first-half which saw Dortmund spurn a number of golden opportunities.

Unfortunately for the Bundesliga outfit, they paid the price for failing to drive home that advantage in the second-half when Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior scored to put Real Madrid on the brink of a record-extending 15th European Cup.
