BAYERN MUNICH have made an approach to sign Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.
The midfielder's future at Old Trafford is uncertain ahead of what could be a busy summer for the Red Devils.
Fernandes, 29, was made United captain by Erik ten Hag last year but he could be tempted by a move away.
And Bayern have opened talks with his agent, Miguel Pinho, over a summer transfer according to O Jogo.
The report adds Barcelona are also interested in signing Fernandes and could open talks soon.

SunSport understands the United skipper is considering a summer move after four and a half seasons at the club.
Fernandes stunned the club last month by hinting he could quit after the Euros for a fresh challenge.
The FA Cup winner said he would wait until after the tournament was over before making a final decision on his future.
But he dropped a worrying hint his Old Trafford spell could be approaching an end as he warned the club to match his ambition.
He wrote in a piece for The Players' Tribune: "I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club.

"If you go talk to any fan, they will tell you the same thing. We want to compete for the league.
"We want to be playing Champions League football. We want to be in cup finals. That is the standard.
"That is what I want. That is what you all deserve."
Bayern have looked to raid the Premier League for talent in recent years with manager Vincent Kompany plucked from Burnley following the signings of Harry Kane and Eric Dier.
