Liverpool have revealed their home kit for the 2024/2025 season.
The unveiling confirms earlier speculations hinting at a retro-inspired design. Designed in collaboration with Nike, the new kit pays homage to one of the club's most illustrious seasons, drawing inspiration from the remarkable 1983/84 campaign.
This iconic period saw the Reds clinch a historic treble, securing victories in the league championship, European Cup and League Cup. A striking feature of the new design is the incorporation of elements reminiscent of Liverpool 's storied past.
The jersey boasts a vibrant chrome yellow pattern intricately woven with the club's iconic motto, "You'll Never Walk Alone". The jersey also sports a classic collar adorned with traditional yellow and red detailing, reminiscent of the strip worn by the legendary 1984 team who went on to claim a ton of success.
Complementing this nod to tradition, the shirt and shorts feature stylish yellow and white side paneling, adding a touch of retro flair to the ensemble. Notably, the 97-emblem adorns the back of the jersey, serving as a poignant reminder of the Hillsborough tragedy.
In addition to the home kit, Liverpool have also unveiled a striking black and white goalkeeper jersey while fans can also look forward to the release of the away and third kits later in the summer. However, the announcement has been accompanied by discussions surrounding the pricing of the new kits.
While the cost of a standard stadium jersey for adults and youths has seen a modest increase of £5, raising prices to £80 and £60 respectively, children's kits have experienced a more significant jump from £44.95 to £52. This adjustment has been attributed to Nike's decision to raise the manufacturer's suggested retail price for all club kits this season.
For eager supporters, the new kit is available for pre-order now for release on Thursday, May 16. Prices range from £60 to £100 for Youth Jerseys, £80 for adults' Stadium Jerseys, and £125 for the premium Match Jersey.
Liverpool are also extending a 10 percent discount on the home shirt to all official members and season ticket holders, as well as UK key workers through Blue Light and Network, and students via Student Beans. Fans can secure the shirt Liverpool Online Store and Nike.
