The Repair Shop star Jay Blades posted a cryptic post over a month before he and his wife Lisa Zbozen announced their split.
This week, his wife Lisa shared the heartbreaking news of their split in a statement. She said it was 'still really raw' and admitted she was 'crying as she typed' the news. She said: "I hope you don't mind if I just have a few days trying to figure out my life as I'm currently in a spare room with a few essentials. I don't know what else to say. All my love, A very broken Lisa-Marie."
Jay and Lisa tied the knot in 2022, with the two exchanging vows in front of 15 guests on the grounds of a beachfront villa in Barbados. The furniture restorer and TV star, who was previously married to ex-wife Jade, told Hello! magazine at the time: “One word sums up the day: perfect. We had our closest family there, the weather held out and everything worked out so well.”
Many weeks before their split, Jay shared a cryptic post on social media. On 19 March, he posted a snap of his shined shoes while on a red carpet. He wrote in the caption: "Life has a Way of tripping you up when you least expect it. You must learn from this experience and get ready to Move, differently."
"There is absolutely nothing about your present circumstances that prevents you from making progress, one tiny step at a time," he wrote a few days later in another 'thought of the day' post. Announcing their split, Lisa said she was "trying to figure out my life" as she confirmed the break-up on social media.

"I don't know how to say this because it's still really raw," she began on Instagram. Continuing with her statement, Lisa told her followers: "I probably should be really angry but I'm just incredibly sad about the whole thing right now. I don't think I've ever cried so much.
"I wanted my husband to love me and keep me safe, and I would love him right back, but it just got worse and worse, until I grabbed a bag of a few things and I just left." It follows the news that 54-year-old Jay’s uncle was reportedly stabbed to death by a neighbour on a quiet residential street following a long-standing dispute over a shared alleyway.
