Arsenal have narrowly missed out on the Premier League title and they're set to invest further in an effort to land silverware.
Mikel Arteta has twice gone close and the Gunners will continue to bolster their squad. The club operated in the final months with Kai Havertz playing as a false 9 and a prolific striker is thought to be on their radar, hence their interest in RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.
A full-back could also be on the radar whilst the north Londoners may also lose several squad players. Emile Smith Rowe is among them whilst Aaron Ramsdale, who has been relegated to second choice, likely to seek regular football away from the Emirates.
Here's the latest from Arsenal.
Monaco star holds talks about exit
Youssouf Fofana knows that interest in him is mounting with the Monaco star attracting interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and AC Milan.
Premier League odds and betting tipsThe midfielder is part of France's Euro 2024 squad and is reportedly available for just £20m with his contract expiring in 2025. Fofana admits he's had discussions with club bosses and he'll be content to stay or go, but is open to taking on a new challenge.
“I have spoken about it with the hierarchy, it isn’t a secret,” he told a press conference. “We had exchanges and they agreed to accompany me in this new stage. If [a move] doesn’t happen, I still have a year left and I will be happy to stay. We were in agreement that we would accompany each other in this process in which everyone should be a winner, be it me or the club.”
ESR on Fulham's radar
Fulham have made landing Smith Rowe a summer priority and they're ready to test Arsenal resolve with an early bid for the playmaker.
Smith Rowe has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and Cottagers boss Marco Silva has holes in his squad that need filling. Arsenal are open to listening to offers for several players as they look to invest in their own playing group.
Smith Rowe, as well as the likes of Ramsdale and Eddie Nketiah, are likely to court interest as they seek extra minutes. Fulham believe the former England international can help aid their ambitions after securing successive mid-table finishes since promotion back to the top-flight, reports the Telegraph.
Gunners eye Fenerbahce star
Jose Mourinho is poised to take charge of Fenerbahce and faces losing one of his shining lights in Ferdi Kadioglu.
The left-back has shone in Istanbul since moving there six years ago, coming up with 39 goal contributions in 199 games, which has attracted interest from around Europe. Arsenal are ready to make a move for the Turkish international as they look to bring in defensive reinforcements.
Reports claim that Mikel Arteta is ready to make a move with some suggesting terms have already been agreed regarding a switch to the Emirates. Oleksandr Zinchenko's future at the Gunners remains unclear whilst Jakub Kiwior has remained a squad player.
