Tanning drops that give beauty buffs a "natural, glowy finish to kickstart summer" have gone viral on TikTok. There is plenty to be said for products which instantly become a social media hit.

The Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Drops was launched earlier this month - and shoppers say they cannot get enough of the 'sun glow' payoff in just one application. The £32 bottle tinted serum is a new skincare/make-up hybrid of the fan-favourite Watermelon Glow Dew Drops and is available to buy at Cult Beauty and Sephora.

With promises to give an ultimate glow and brightening complexion this hot summer, it could be a great addition to your beauty haul for a mixed bag of occasions. According to Glow Recipe, this formula can be used just after skincare, mixed into your foundation, as a sheer highlighter and much more.

For a more natural finish, users can minimise the appearance of pores and hydrate the skin with its boost of hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, while the antioxidant-rich centella and watermelon extract contribute to soothing skin and deliver a reflective "golden glow" without a glittery or grey cast.

Fans took to Instagram and TikTok to share their thoughts on the Glow Recipe product. One said: "It's giving summer glowy goddess and I can't wait to wear them on warmer days."

Another used it with Glow Recipe's Strawberry Pore-Smooth Blur Drops, £29, and shared: "This is how I dew with oily skin. The blur drops help control oil and smooth the appearance of pores. And the Dew Drops? Chef's kiss. It brightens and evens skin tone with a sheer warm glow."

But some were confused about how they use it in their skincare routine. One shopper said: "What confused me about this product is where it should go in my routine. I ended up applying it after my SPF (even though SPF should be the final step in the routine).

"However I made sure to wait quite a bit, allowing my spf to dry down, before applying. It looks nice under makeup but to be honest, I would rather repurchase my Charlotte Tilbury or Saie glow products. I feel like the glow this product gives fades quite fast."

A second struggled to see the bronzed effect and said the result was "similar to the Dew Drops". The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Drops, £32, is lightweight but also buildable, if you wish to go for a darker tone, it's best to apply a second layer on top.

Alternatively, you can try the Makeup Revolution Bronzing Drops, which come in two shades - light/medium and tan/deep, while premium brand Charlotte Tilbury's £38 Bronzing Drops, £38 are infused with tan-enhancing molecules for a lit-from-within island glow, so you can get a gradual tan in eight hours.
