Convicted sex offender and reality star Stephen Bear has settled the sum he was ordered to pay after being found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing a private sexual tape.

Bear made over £22,000 from sharing a secret clip of him and Love Island star Georgia Harrison, who waived her right to anonymity to raise awareness of the type of crime, having sex on OnlyFans. He was released from prison in January after serving just 10 and a half months of his 21-month sentence.

A jury found Bear guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films. During a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court in March this year, Bear was also ordered to pay £5,000 in compensation to Georgia. He was also ordered to pay £22,305 which will be given to HM Treasury and distributed to police charities.

He was given three months to pay. As reported by the BBC, the Ex on the Beach star settled the sum. Chelmsford Crown Court has confirmed the amount he owed was paid in full on 8 May.

During the Proceeds of Crime hearing earlier this year, Ms Harrison told the court: "I am grateful to the CPS and Essex Police for all their hard work to ensure the confiscation that was enforced today and to the court for awarding me the money earned by the defendant through the proceeds of crime.

"Nobody has the right to earn money from any crime but to earn so much from image-based sexual abuse is quite frankly abhorrent. I think it is important that anyone who commits this awful should be made to give any money back to the victim and also to the judicial system, especially after a successful conviction."

Speaking in court in March, Ms Harrison recalled how the footage being published without her consent impacted her life and career. She said: "I had to live in fear that this was going to come out and my family were going to know about it. It was just like the worst feeling you can ever possibly imagine. I felt violated, I felt embarrassed - I hated myself for a really long time."

Judge Christopher Morgan said the victim, Ms Harrison, lost work opportunities from multiple brands and was forced to pay legal fees due to the disgraced reality star's illegal conduct. He added that Bear posting the CCTV footage had a "devastating" impact on Ms Harrison's life.
