Malin Akerman, 45, was born in Stockholm, Sweden.
Her mother Pia Sundström is an aerobics instructor and model, and her father Magnus Åkerman is an insurance broker.
They moved to Toronto, Canada when Malin was two years old.

Her parents divorced when she was six, with her father returning to Sweden.
She started modelling while at school and featured in several advertising campaigns.

When did Malin Akerman get married?
Malin married British actor Jack Donnelly on December 1, 2018.
The ceremony took place on a beach at Tulum, Mexico with Malin wearing a pink dress.
Malin announced her engagement to Jack on Instagram in October 2017 and mentioned his bond with her then five-year-old son Sebastian.
She wrote: “This sweet and loving man has stepped into our lives and stole both our hearts!
"I think we’re gonna keep him around for a while."

Jack Donnelly, 38, is an actor, writer and director from Bournemouth.
He trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama.
His first role was in the Nickelodeon TV series House Of Anubis (2011).
Jack is best known for his role as Jason in the BBC series Atlantis (2013-15).
He guest starred in Doctors, Threesome and Misfits in 2012, as well as Dancing On The Edge the following year.
Jack played Sam Walker in the BBC's smash hit Death in Paradise in 2016.
In 2021, he wrote, directed and starred in the award winning short comedy series The Players.
His mother Chrissie Wickham choreographed the winning Bucks Fizz dance routine for Eurovision in 1981.
