A man who disguised himself as an OAP went into a luxury watch store and robbed it - as CCTV footage captured him pulling a gun on the cashier and demanding she hand over £2.6million worth of jewellery.

The criminal, who is still at large, appeared to be wearing a latex mask to give the appearance that he was elderly. CCTV footage caught the shocking heist as it unfolded, with the spectacled man walking into the store wearing a flat cap and using a cane.

The clip shows the man walking towards the till and pulling a handgun from his satchel. He then produces an oversized plastic bag, which he orders the female cashier to fill with pricey timepieces. The pair proceed to clear out the window displays, even as passers-by stop to gawp at the high-end pieces.

The heist took place at the Monaco Watch Company in Monaco on Wednesday, May 29, in the morning, as reported on NeedToKnow.

According to prosecutors, the smartly-dressed crook fled the scene with jewellery worth more than £2.6million (3million Euros). He is believed to have fled towards Beausoleil, France, on the back of a getaway scooter. No shots were fired during the heist and the salesperson was not injured, but she was taken to hospital in a state of shock following the ordeal. The search for the two suspects continues.
