The mum-of-five told how it was her new duck coop, which had been delivered in flat pack form to her £1.2million Pickle Cottage home, which has sparked the mishap.
Stacey, husband Joe Swash, 42, and her kids recently welcomed two new ducklings to the fold, with the huge glass and wood structure - complete with a black roof - appearing the perfect home.
Stacey Solomon cradles baby bump after teasing she's weeks away from due dateYet the former The X Factor star admitted things were trickier than first appeared and said: "I thought 'If I don’t put it up right this second, I won’t put it up until the weekend'
"And any normal person would say 'It’s fine put it up at the weekend, they’re not going to be in that coop for another six weeks’ but my toxic trait is if there’s something in front of me I have to do it immediately.
"So, I persisted to build a duck coop in literally dusk, dusk lighting and I got to the roof, got to the triangle bit on the roof and dropped it on my eye."
Stacey let out a giggle as she saw the funny side of the incident.
She then added: "Ugh why am I like this?
"So that’ll be fun at the shoot [photoshoot] tomorrow.
"It will probably be worse tomorrow. It’s always worse the day after the day after."
Yet the Loose Women panelist's hard work was eventually rewarded, with the huge structure now taking pride of place in the garden.
She added: "It is really cool and I’m very excited."

Last month, Stacey told how she was taking on her friend Luisa Zissman's hatchlings.
In a message on her Instagram, Stacey wrote: "We've always felt so privileged to have our garden…
"And we've always said if the chance ever presented itself and it was right and we had what they needed, we'd love to make it home for little feathered friends."
"Welcome To Pickle Cottage, Little Ones!" Stacey then wrote alongside the video.
"We are so excited to love you & we hope you love living here & being a part of our crazy family.
"We have no idea what to call our new babies yet, so any suggestions welcome.
"Honestly wanted to make our garden home to ducklings for so long so thank you @luisazissman from giving us the opportunity to raise your hatchlings."
TV COMEBACK
In her video, Stacey told how her black eye had come amid a busy week which saw her posting for a photoshoot as well as her Loose Women return.
The proud mum-of-five stepped back from the show 18 months ago after the birth of her daughter, Belle.
As she sat on the panel she gave her input on this year's Britain's Got Talent winner, Sydnie Christmas, who took home the £250,000 prize during Sunday's final.
The star is in a good place to give insight, after having come third place in The X Factor's sixth series in 2009.
Stacey defended Sydnie, telling the panel her personality should not undercut how talented she actually is.
She said: "I think with Sydnie, I think it almost does her a disservice talking about her personality helping her win the competition, because her voice is just so incredible.
"She should have won it, regardless of her personality and who she is, because she's so amazing."
Stacey added: "I think sometimes I felt bad that people would talk about my personality, because I thought maybe I didn't deserve to be there as much."
