The exits come after The Sun lifted the lid on how twenty cast members were being axed from the soap amid job cuts following Channel 4’s decision to slash episodes to just three 20-minute editions per week.

Now Glynis Barber, who has played gangster Norma Crow since 2022, has revealed she's filmed her final scenes.

Taking to Instagram, Glynis, 68, shared a snap with Rita Simons, who plays Marie Fielding, and Warren Fox star Jamie Lomas.

"And reunited with @rita_simonsofficial who is literally one of my favourite people on the planet."

Glynis and Rita, 47, previously starred together on EastEnders as mother and daughter Glenda and Roxy Mitchell.

"I am going to miss seeing you everyday and I love you so much. Thank you for being the best onscreen partner and always making my days enjoyable.

"You are so talented and I can’t wait to see what is next for you."

And Rita added: "Love you Mummy."
