Celebrities made the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala their runway last night, stepping out in striking looks as they take on their own interpretation to this year's mystical "Garden of Time" theme.
During one of the biggest nights in fashion, famous faces from across the entertainment industry showed up in their most glamorous looks taking their own spin on the nature-inspired dress code. The unique dress code is inspired by a 1962 short story of the same name, written by J.G. Ballard. Others also drew inspiration from this year's theme which was "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" which is also the title of the Costume Institute’s new exhibition.

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashain drew attention on the red carpet as she showed off her curves in shining metallic silver gown. The blonde bombshell's strapless dress featured a tight corset-style top and metal floral detailing took a modern, sexy take on the garden-inspired theme. The famous reality star paired the dazzling look with a white grey sweater and wore her newly-bleached locks in cascading waves.
Zendaya
Zendaya, who was chosen as this year's co-chair of the Met Gala, looked glamorous as she stepped out in a flattering peacock-inspired, sparkling, off-the-shoulder gown for the occasion. The Challengers star looked stunning as she stepped out in the nature-inspired look that she paired with vine arm accessories, a feather-covered headpiece, and a gothic full-glam look featuring a pink eyeshadow and dark purple lipstick.

Looking sensational in the all-black gown, Zendaya added colour and flair with an elaborate floral headpiece that stole the show.
Doja Cat
For the lavish event, chart-topping singer Doja Cat turned heads as she stepped out with Beka Gvishiani, the creator of Instagram account Style Not Com. Doja, famous for her daring looks over the years, continued to be one of the most talked-about looks of the night as she once again pushed the envelope.
At the event, Doja was nearly-naked as she held up a bright white towel-like dress paired with a matching white towel wrapped around her head. The 28-year-old artist paired the risqué look with a eye-catching makeup look that appears to be mascara streaming down her face finished off with sparkles. Doja accessorized the bold look with a sparkling diamond necklace and a pair of clear platform heels. She was then later see wearing just a wet t-shirt dress, leaving fans gobsmacked.
Emily Ratajkowski
Model Emily Ratajkowski left little to the imagination as she took on the carpet, wearing a completely see-through dress as she appeared to go underwear-free for the event showing off her cleavage and booty on the red carpet. Emily wore a backless crystal-covered Versace gown from their 2001 fall winter collection. The X-rated look drew inspiration from the theme, as the see-through frock appeared to be covered in a petal-like pattern.

Ariana Grande looked breathtaking as she stepped out in a white strapless gown designed by Loewe for the lavish occasion. The ethereal look featured a corset-style top and a draping white trail bottom. The famous pop singer went for a more natural makeup look for the night and completed the angelic outfit with cute small butterflies by her eyes.
Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey looked dreamy as she stepped out in a beige gown from Alexander McQueen by Sean McGirr covered in twigs. The 38-year-old singer's over-the-top look was complete with a branch-like headpiece making her look like a forest fairy. Lana's dramatic look at the gala is a reference to an old McQueen runway look from 2007.
Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner looked breathtaking at this year's Met Gala as she rocked a figure-hugging champagne-colored gown by Oscar de la Renta that hugged her curvy figure. The reality star's dramatic look featured a long train behind her and accessorized the elegant look with a matching flower in her slicked back updo look.

Supermodel Kendall Jenner wore Alexander McQueen’s fall 1999 look for Givenchy haute couture to the Met Gala. The gorgeous 28-year-old reality star debuted the gothic look, which was covered in bead detailing, during her tenth appearance at the annual fashion event.

British singer Rita Ora stepped out in a racy look for the Met Gala, as she donned a nude nearly-naked sheer look with no bra or pants as she showed off her gym-honed figure. The 33-year-old artist's shocking outfit was covered in colourful sparkling beaded strands, and she wore her short brunette locks in a wet-look hairstyle.

For the event, the famous Latin singer wore a black custom outfit from the Maison Margiela Artisanal Collection by John Galliano. Bad Bunny stayed on theme as he carried a black Flor de Maga, the national flower of Puerto Rico, which symbolises the country’s bravery and resilience during hard times.

Rapper Cardi B pulled out all of the stops for her 2024 Met Gala look as she stepped out in a dramatic black gown designed by Chinese designer Windowsen. The singer was met with a full team at the red carpet as nine men accompanied the star to carry her massive train.
Sabrina Carpenter
Singer Sabrina Carpenter stepped out in a breathtaking blue-and-black ballgown by Oscar de la Renta. At the star-studded event, the blonde beauty attended the event with her boyfriend Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan and they showed off their love as she kissed him on the cheek at the red carpet.
