Met Gala fans left gobsmacked by Matt Damon's 'dark spray tan'

Matt Damon stunned fans when he arrived to the Met Gala in an interesting tan job.

The actor attended the star-packed event with Luciana Damon as he wore a standard black tuxedo. However, his skin stole the show as fans dog piled on him for a bad "spray tan" as one said it "looks like s**t". "Matt Damon’s spray tan entirely too dark," added a fan. A third asked: "Is Matt Damon ok."

Luciana meanwhile wowed in a white, floor-length gown. The neckline was decorated with folded layers which were replicated identically around her neck in a scarf piece. She wore her dark hair down, but pulled away from her face, which allowed her natural beauty to shine through.

She added a simple pair of dangly, silver earrings and a matching cuff around her wrist. Both Luciana and Matt proudly displayed their wedding rings.

Matt admitted to People that it only took him "about five minutes" to get ready for the event. He added while leaving the Mark Hotel: "We've been in the room all day. It's a production."

Fans also pointed out that the Met Gala isn't typically Matt's sort of event. In fact, they speculated that he was only there to hang out with his best friend, Ben Affleck. One fan said: "This is so funny when you realise Matt Damon has no reason to be at the Met Gala except that Jlo is co chairing and presumably bringing Ben."

They were also disappointed in the couple's lack of adherence to the dress code, Garden of Time. Matt's black suit certainly didn't make a nod to the dress code nor the theme, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and fans were getting fed up with men who keep it basic. Luciana's outfit was also put under scrutiny due to its reserved nature, too. One fan wrote: "That’s not the theme."

Fans repetitively branded the couple as "boring" and one said that "they should stay outside" of the event. Another added: "Did not know this is what Matt Damon’s wife looked like? And they’ve been married for 20 years???? Anyway—BORING, but she’s gorg."
