The Good Morning Britain star took to his social media account this Thursday, June 6, in reaction to the news that the TV doctor had gone missing during a trip to Greece. He admitted he was "disturbed" as he sent his well-wishes.

"Feeling disturbed about the news about Dr Michael Mosley. I hope he's ok", he wrote. Michael, known for his appearances on The One Show and ITV's This Morning, has sparked fears for his well-being after vanishing on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

A third echoed: "Ugh!! Why Michael Mosley? A decent person trying to do good in the world, when there are so many horrendous assholes for whom going missing would make the world a better place." One social media user jumped in: "Praying for Dr Michael Mosley hope he’s ok."

Michael Mosley's agent raised alarm bells this Thursday morning after the columnist, 67, failed to return from a walk he'd set off on at 1.30pm from Saint Nikolas Beach the day before.

A thorough search of Symi, one of the Dodecanese Islands, is underway and one post on a local Facebook group stated that a rescue team was expected to arrive on location from Athens with drones to extend the search and rescue operation.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Foreign Office said: "We are supporting the family of a British man who is missing in Greece and are in contact with the local authorities."

As mentioned, Michael is known for his appearances on the small screen but his TV credits also include a series of documentaries as he notably hosted the Channel 4 program Michael Mosley: Who Made Britain Fat? and took part in the BBC program Trust Me, I'm A Doctor.

Michael was also given an Emmy nod for The Human Face, a scientific documentary presented by John Cleese. He also gained recognition for promoting the 5:2 diet and the Fast 800 diet.

While he keeps his life under wraps, Michael is married to fellow doctor, author and health columnist Clare Bailey Mosley and the pair share four children.
