EMMERDALE'S Ethan Anderson is arrested after his betrayal - as Nicky Miligan fights for his life in hospital.
Previous spoilers for the ITV soap revealed that Ethan would be behind the wheel and over the limit when he crashes a car while Nicky is in the passenger seat.
The two men had been drinking before Nicky's partner Suni Sharma called to say one of the thugs who had attacked them last year was in the same bar in town as him.
Nicky was too inebriated to drink, so Ethan got behind the wheel - despite having drank alcohol himself - but when he saw a police car up ahead he panicked and turned around.
But soon, the car crashed and Nicky was left unconscious, before Ethan dragged him from the car and left him as he saw Moira Dingle's vehicle coming towards them.

As he watched Moira find Nicky and call for an ambulance, he fled, and in new Emmerdale spoilers, Ethan battles with his guilt over what he did.
At the hospital, Nicky's mum Ruby struggles with stress, while she and Caleb keep vigil by Nicky's bedside as he continues to fight for his life.
Ethan feels guilty as his family praises him ahead of his new job, however, Charles notices Ethan's discomfort and worries.
Ruby confides in Moira about Nicky's condition, and they bond despite their recent family tension.
Ruby seeks revenge for Nicky's accident and wants to know who was driving Nicky’s car, while at the hospital, Caleb reconciles with Cain and also vows to find the driver.
Meanwhile, Charles can see that Ethan’s struggling with something and guides him into the church for a frank conversation.
Charles is blindsided when Ethan admits that he was driving the car when Nicky had his accident.
He’s further stunned when Ethan reveals that he intends to lie to the police and asks him to give an alibi for his whereabouts the night of the accident.
But later, Ethan’s arrested for Nicky’s accident, and is devastated to realise that his own father reported him to the police.
Having seen Ethan’s arrest, raging Ruby realises he must have been driving Nicky’s car.

Meanwhile, Charles begins to regret his decision as he watches his family’s devastation to see Ethan taken away by the police.
Will Nicky survive? And will Ethan confess all to the police?
