Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena have already announced more concerts despite the many cancellations in recent weeks.

The arena was forced to cancel many gigs due to the issues it's been dealing with since testing began last month. The crisis-hit new music venue is being “monitored closely” as contractors continue work to complete the £365 million Co-op Live arena in Manchester amid a string of high-profile setbacks.

The 23,500-capacity venue aims to attract big-name acts away from London as well as awards shows and sporting events. The Eagles, Janet Jackson and Eric Clapton are due to play in the arena, but so far only a test event by Rick Astley has gone ahead. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Olivia Rodrigo's concerts were some of the gigs cancelled.

Amid the chaos, US rapper Travis Scott announced a UK and Europe tour. He will bring his UTOPIA - Circus Maximus Tour after enjoying a sold-out run in North America. The tour will kick off in the Netherlands before continuing in Poland, Switzerland, France and the UK.

Travis will perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on July 11 before going to Manchester to perform at the Co-op Live Arena on July 13. His tour also has stops in Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic and Italy, with tickets going on sale on Friday, May 10. £1 from every ticket sold will go towards the Cactus Jack Foundation.

Following a slew of issues at the Co-Op Live venue, general manager Gary Roden resigned. His departure also came in the wake of a backlash against him claiming to the BBC that grassroots music venues were often "poorly run". The Music Venue Trust criticised Mr Roden in a statement of its own, telling the NME that grassroots music venues are not "poorly run", and that it is "disrespectful and disingenuous to suggest otherwise".

On May 2, the venue released a statement with updates on each gig on X. It revealed Olivia Rodrigo and Keane's gigs were postponed while Take That's May dates saw a venue change. They added to their Twitter followers: "At this time, we do not expect further impact on our opening season. We are aware our actions have frustrated and angered ticket holders.

"We know you've incurred significant disruption, and are finding a way to help make it right. We are taking the pause to think about the best ways to do that."
