Conor McGregor has seemingly debunked talk of his UFC comeback fight not going ahead in his latest video.
McGregor is scheduled to make his long awaited return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas. There have been concerns that the fight will be cancelled after the rivals were scheduled to hold a press conference earlier this week to promote the fight, but the event was cancelled just 12 hours before it was supposed to take place.
Chandler has posted a series of cryptic posts this week and even left his training camp in South Florida to fly back to his home in Tennessee. McGregor also posted a picture of him visiting a doctors practice but has now appeared to dismiss rumours about his comeback fight being cancelled by posting a series of training videos.
"Chandler gonna be biting his nails off down to the bone tonight," one user commented. " Chandler is doing what he’s been told," a second comment read. "What if all these partying videos are just mind games to make Chandler think that Conor is done with his fighting days," one user theorised.
McGregor apologised to his Dublin fans for the press conference being cancelled on short notice and said the event didn't go ahead for reasons outside of his control. The former two-weight world champion hasn't fought in almost three years but has promised to put on the greatest show of all-time in his return.
UFC champion demands to know how Conor McGregor has become so "jacked""I'm going to put this guy's head on a pike, throw it over my shoulder and waltz on," McGregor toldThe Mac Life. "I'm ready to go. I'm calm, I'm composed, I'm cold in the soul for this man. I'm coming back with a vengeance and I'm coming back with skill. I'm excited to show my skills.
"I'm in a great place mentally, physically, spiritually. We're back on the horse, giddy up. It’s a blank face and a specific body type. He has his set movements, his set patterns he moves in and his set shots. I’m aware of them and I’m preparing for a multitude of outcomes. I’m as ready as I can be, and I’m confident all my shots will land.”
