And it
And it's not the only side hustle they have on the go

TWO savvy sisters who are pro thrifters have revealed that some of the best items they find at car boot sales are in the BIN.

Lisa and Lesley Harley, from Kikrckaly, Fife, love a good bargain and often visit second-hand and charity shops.

They often sell unwanted items for a little bit of cash on the side with Lisa, 34, punting goods on eBay while Lesley, 33, opts to sell items on Vinted.

But more than anything, the pair love a good car boot sale and say it's quickly become their main side hustle.

And they've revealed that some of their top finds have actually come from bins after the sales.

Lisa and Lesley have made it their mission to prove that everything has value and nothing belongs in the rubbish.

The clever sisters spotted unwanted items next to the bin at a recent boot sale and after a quick look, discovered the bag was full of goodies that they went on to sell for £145.

And now they have encouraged others not to be so hasty when getting rid of unwanted items because they can still be given a new lease of life and sold for extra money.

We watched people dump these bags of books and CDs beside the bin. They said they didn't want them... we did want them

Lisa shared a clip on social media showing how they found some free goodies after a car boot sale.

The video, posted on TikTok, shows the sisters finding their impressive haul.

Text on the screen reads: "It's Sunday. The sun is shining. Let's go make some pocket money.

"We did buy a few things but our main highlight was the bin... WHY ARE PEOPLE THROWING THESE IN THE BIN?

"Well they were beside the bin. Took them all home to sort them all out and get them sold...

"Sold them in bundles for a total of £145. Posted immediately. Thank you inpost lockers. Thank you very much car boot sale bin".

The caption also read: "Another day of profit hunting at the car boot.

"People do car boot sales to get rid of things they don't want and sadly if they don't sell them they tend to just throw them away.

The beautiful part of it is that there is nothing worth throwing in the bin

"We watched people dump these bags of books and CDs beside the bin. They said they didn't want them... we did want them."

Lisa, who is also a well-established baker who makes incredible cakes, previously told the Scottish Sun that selling things is a main passion of theirs.

She explained: "We both have other side hustles, I bake cakes and my sister does personalised panting.

"But the selling is really our main side hustle, we love getting rid of clothes that the kids outgrow or things we don't need anymore.

"I got into selling things on eBay and Lesley sells things on Vinted, but we'd rather do it in person and cut out the fees.

"It's easier, and people like to see what they're buying and who they're buying it from, too, sometimes."

Lesley also added that they love seeing an old, unwanted item get a new lease of life from someone grateful to pay a small price for it.

The mum-of-two said: "That's the beauty of it, like we sell things that a charity shop or second-hand shop won't take, like a bra - shops won't take or sell these but some people don't mind because it's been washed and cleaned and it can get an extra lease of life.

"It's just something as simple as that! Everything at a boot sale can be reused, everything goes and it means nothing is wasted.

"The beautiful part of it is that there is nothing worth throwing in the bin."

She added: "We're not in it for the money, it's the little benefits, and we're massive second-hand shoppers.

"I run around two kids and two dogs, so it's easy because half the stuff is in your house already, lying around, so it's easier to go around with a box and pick up what you don't use.

"I'll go through their clothes and anything that doesn't fit them anymore I'll put them in a bag for the garage and then they're washed and sold at a boot sale - it's just second nature to us now.

"People love a car boot sale - it's a great day out and you can pick up a toy for next to nothing."
