VINNY Dingle is left humiliated after making a shock move on a potential love interest in Emmerdale.
The character - played by Bradley Johnson - was left devastated after the death of his wife Liv Flaherty in October 2022 after a storm hit the village.
Vinny has spent time coming to terms with his grief, but in upcoming Emmerdale episodes, he opens up to Paddy Kirk about feeling lonely.
His admission prompts his mum Mandy to ask Gabby Thomas to spend some time with Vinny in order to cheer him up.
She agrees,and the pair enjoy each other’s company in the Hide.

Unfortunately, Vinny misreads the situation and kisses Gabby, but is mortified when it becomes clear that she doesn’t feel the same.
When Vinny apologises to Gabby, she lets slip about Mandy and Paddy’s involvement in their plans.
Paddy is left feeling guilty when he sees Vinny so humiliated and angry.
But later, Laurel gives Gabby some food for thought as she suggests that she should break away from her usual type in men.
Will her words convince Gabby to look at Vinny in a different light?
Vinny's embarrassment comes hot on the heels of his brutal attack at the hands of Tom King.
While Vinny has no idea who his mystery assailant was, Emmerdale viewers know it was the twisted vet who hit him over the head with a paperweight.
Tom has been steadily increasing his control of wife Belle, and has been jealous about her friendship with Vinny.
When Belle complained her phone was playing up, Vinny offered to fix it.
But Tom, who has been tracking Belle's phone, saw it was at the scrapyard and went to retrieve it, but panicked when he heard Vinny returning to the portacabin.

He then hit him over the head before wiping his fingerprints off the weapon and leaving an unconscious and bleeding Vinny on the floor.
