When your neighbour is getting work done on their home, it can be disruptive to you, but you'll likely let it go - provided the work doesn't start at 4am.

One woman was left fuming at her neighbour because they were getting work done on their home without giving her notice, despite the fact they have her number - and the work began seriously early in the morning.

TikTok user @barnes.terra took to the video sharing app for a "neighbour rant", and people in the comments reckon those next door to her had some "nerve". Terra explained the neighbours "started work in their back yard at 3.49am this morning".

She shared that they had blocked off her driveway, been "blasting music" and "pouring concrete in the backyard" - which was creating a lot of noise.

Terra said she understood it was hot where she was and "nobody wants to work in heat", but continued: "That being said, I feel like there are times when you can do things and 4am is not one of them.

"I just think that that's crazy, and it really p****es me off because not only am I up super early, but my daughter's up, she woke up too. Her bedroom is literally right there with the window."

She said they were also "walking all over" her driveway, blocking her in so they could do their work. She branded the neighbours "rude" for not letting her know what was going on. She also said it was rude to not start at 6am or 7am, rather than before 4am.

People sympathised in the comments section, with one sharing: "I have a neighbour like this. The nerve!" Another penned: "Most cities have ordinances about the time frame they can work - for me it's 7am."

"They should lose the music," another wrote, with someone else fuming: "Police!! There should be laws as to when work can start and call a tow truck for blocking your driveway". Terra replied saying she called the police but "they didn't come".

However, some defended the people having work done, with one writing: "I'm sure it's just a one time job and not a continuous thing if it was a continuous thing I would have a problem with it, but people need to get things done and THEIR time." Terra responded: "I'm going to tell them that when they complain at 12am when I chose to mow my lawn lol."
