DAN Walker is the face of 5 News since swapping BBC Breakfast for Channel 5.
But viewers have been left wondering why he isn’t on the programme today (February 20, 2023).
Where is Dan Walker?
Dan Walker is absent from his job of anchoring 5 News today (February 20, 2023).
This is because the popular presenter was in a car crash this morning.
The TV star suffered nasty injuries during the accident and was left covered in blood.

Dan took to Instagram to share pictures of his "mess" of a face this morning admitting he was "glad to be alive".
He revealed his bloodied swollen face while laid up in an ambulance when he posted a selfie with the NHS staff who were caring for him.
It is understood he was travelling on his bike when he was hit by a car, but he escaped seemingly without major injuries.
Dan doesn't believe he came away with any broken bones and police and ambulance crews were called to the scene.
He tweeted: "Bit of an accident this morning. Glad to be alive after getting hit by a car on my bike.
"Face is a mess but I don’t think anything is broken.
"Thanks to Shaun and Jamie for sorting me out and the lovely copper at the scene.
"Thankful for our NHS."
Who has replaced Dan Walker on 5 News?
Channel 5 News’ chief correspondent Tessa Chapman will stand in for him tonight, as he recovers.
His showbiz pals were quick to tweet good well wishes to him, with Motsi Mabuse tweeting; “Oh goodness me get well soon, Dan!!”

Sally Biddulph said: “So glad you are OK Dan, what a shock. Rest up and feel better soon,” added Biddulph.
When will Dan Walker be back?
Channel 5 are yet to disclose when Dan will return to his job of fronting 5 News.
