FROM accessories and handbags to blazers and satin skirts, there are a whole host of trendy garments available at your local Zara branch.

But with so much to choose from, how do you know what's really worth your hard-earned cash?

Well, a fashion fan named Lydia, who regularly shares fashion advice on her TikTok page (@officiallylyd), has recently shared a video revealing what she believes isn't worth purchasing from the popular high-street chain.

In the clip, she begins by making a disclaimer that these are just her opinions and that she's not a fashion expert.

First up, she says that a lot of the handbags at Zara, although not all, look "cheaply made."

She claims: "If you look at the sewing they will all come apart super super quickly - especially with lots of their mini bags that they're just churning out at the moment.

"They're usually rushed and I think the overall finish just doesn't look very expensive and it's not going to make your outfits look enhanced, classy or expensive in any way."

Next up on Lydia's suggested list of items to avoid are satin, slinky dresses.

"I think unless you have a stick thin model type body, those dresses do not look good on anyone," she says.

"I just think they're so thin and they're just cut in a way that just doesn't make most girls look attractive."

She goes on to say that she doesn't think they "look expensive" and notes the "seams are always fraying on all of those," so urges people not to spend £50 on one.

Instead, if you're on the search for a satin-look dress, Lydia recommends investing a little bit more in something that will "clinch you in at the waist and accentuate your curves."

Moving on, Lydia admits she's also not a fan of Zara blouses because they have a lot of "sloppy cuts" to them.

"I don't think the blouses look maybe as expensive as they should do and as good on people as they should do," she says.

Instead, Lydia advises: "I definitely would opt for a nice looking blouse from And Other Stories or spend a little bit more on it, because I think a blouse should be something that looks really, really classy and chic on you."

Sharing another personal opinion, the fashion fan says she'd never buy shorts from Zara either.

"The reason I'm saying that is I find that Zara shorts never cater to my body type," she explains.

"I have a small-ish waist, very big hips, a lot of fat around my stomach, and a big a**and big thighs, and I can never fit into Zara shorts."

She continues: "I don't know what it is, I've tried, they look really nice, I put them on, but it doesn't work.

"The Zara denim shorts just never work for me, maybe it does for some of you, but for me they just always look cheap because they're not clenching me in at the waist, or they're too baggy on the legs, or they're sucking my thighs in and they're really wide on."

Lydia reveals she instead purchases her denim shorts from Abercrombie - adding they "cater to everybody type."

In a second video, Lydia reveals what she believes is "definitely" worth buying in Zara - starting with a blazer.

"I think their blazers are always done really, really well," she praises.

"They are perfect if you want to have a bunch of different colours and they're not too expensive."

The fashion whizz also says she heads to Zara to snap up all of their basics.

"I think their basics are really good, like their basic kind of racer-back bodysuit or their little crop shirt," she adds.

Not stopping there, Lydia also says she's a fan of the high-street store's shoes.

"I bought some boots there recently and they're so comfy," she notes.

"I wore them for a whole day, I didn't get blisters at all."

It wasn't long before the posts racked up thousands of views and comments between them - with very mixed responses.

"Have to agree about the satin dresses!" wrote one. "Even some of their other satin items after 1 wash are just not wearable afterwards."

A second commented: "Bought the shell one and broke within 3 hours. Wasn’t even wearing it."

However, many other people were quick to praise various items in Zara.

"No, no no and no. I’ve had that mini Zara black bag that everyone has (with 2 knots) I’ve had it for YEARS it’s still good," enthused one.

A second commented: "I love Zara jeans and blazers."

A third added: "I have an amazing bag from them!"
