Fans of Robbie Williams have shared their concerns for the singer, after his wife Ayda Field posted a photo of him on Instagram.

The 50-year-old pop star and former Take That star has previously spoken out about his weight struggles and body dysmorphia and fans were quick to comment on the post as they shared concerns about his weight. In the photo, Robbie is seen lying down, wearing a top emblazoned with the image of disgraced pop duo Milli Vanilli and underwear with a tiger motif.

The angle of the photo seems to suggest that Robbie has lost weight but this could be down to the perception made by the way his lying. Ayda captioned the pic: "Welcome Home, Baby #guesswho #homesweethome #eyeofthetiger @robbiewilliams AWx"

Robbie is due to perform at BST Hyde Park in July and fans were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: "Robbie's lost so much weight [shock face emoji]". Another added: "Omg why is he so skinny." A third echoed this sentiment, writing: "OMG!! Why he is so skinny? His legs looks like arms."

This prompted a reaction among Robbie's fans, who hit out at those who were troubled by his photo, with one commenting: "People need to stop going on about Robbie’s weight, nothing to do with you, not your body so keep your nose out. Anyway, I think he looks fantastic."

While another pointed out: "looking gooood @robbiewilliams And to the people on here that just criticise, does it make you feel better about yourselves to criticise how he looks?"

Robbie has addressed his weight previously after he posted a drawing which features two characters with "my ideal goal weight is people being worried about me," written on it. Captioning the image, Robbie added: “So, If a genie appeared and said you can either have your superpower be the ability to fly or eat what you want and remain at your goal weight? I would go for goal weight eating every day. What about you?”

He continued: “I could write a book about self-loathing where my body image is concerned. Like pure self-hatred, The ugliness of feeling ugly. I’m body dysmorphic and on top of being dysmorphic at times, I can be 40+ pounds overweight. So you can imagine what my mind sees. Or maybe you can’t either way it’s a f*****g disaster.

“At the moment I’m skinny... But me being me, my mind is going, ‘F*****g great Rob, you managed to get skinny and now your old, congrats, golf clap. The struggle is real, the sadness shocking. I’ve had it all my life. And it won’t abate.”(sic)

Robbie has also used social media to open up about issues personal to him, one of which were secret cosmetic procedures that left him looking like the comic book character Desperate Dan. He made the admission on Instagram, writing: "One time I had a few things done, botox, fillers and something done to my chin that made me look like desperate Dan. Perhaps [about] 5 years ago."

Mirror Online has reached out to Robbie's reps for comment.
