Liverpool may be out of the Premier League title race, but they will be desperate to end the season on a high.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is set to step down this summer and he only has two games left in charge of the Reds. The first will see Liverpool take on Aston Villa at Villa Park next Monday, before Klopp bids farewell with a game against Wolves at Anfield on the final day of the season.

And ahead of his last two matches, Klopp has reflected on his time at the club and also been nominated for an award. Here, Mirror Football takes a look at all the latest news from around Anfield.

Klopp reflects on his legacy

Speaking ahead of his penultimate game in charge, Klopp emotionally reflected on his "really special" nine years at Anfield.

"When you win one time with Liverpool, it is worth as much as five with another club," he said. "Experience a good moment is really good, experience a good moment with a lot of people together it is a completely different level and the same with the bad moments.

"So that is really special. If you played a minute for this club people all over the world will never forget you. And if you don’t find them here around the corner, you will find them 7,000 miles away."

Reds up for awards

Klopp is also one of the five nominees for the Premier League's Manager of the Season award, with Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, Andoni Iraola and Unai Emery also making the shortlist.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has also been nominated for the Player of the Season award, but the defender is facing stiff competition from Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, Arsenal stars Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Chelsea forward Cole Palmer.

Klopp's class act

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has hailed Klopp as a "class act" for putting him on the bench for the 2016 League Cup final, despite the fact he had been relegated to third-choice at the time.

"The one thing Jurgen Klopp did do, though, was put me on the bench for the Carabao Cup final," Bogdan exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone. "Even though I was third-choice at the time, he put me back on the bench, which was a touch that I will never forget.

"That's a class act from him, even when I put aside everything that happened with Danny [Ward] coming back to the club, or whatever he thought of me. He realised that I was a big part of that cup run and he put me back into the squad at Wembley to recognise that."
