Mason Mount is set to become the second-top earner at Manchester United, just behind academy graduate Marcus Rashford - and is also on a higher contract than star midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
With Casemiro, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial all exiting the club this summer, this has bumped Rashford into the highest-earning spot with a weekly salary of £300,000 and an annual intake of £15,600,000.
Spotrac reports that Mason Mount falls into second with a weekly salary of £250,000 and a yearly income of £13,000,000.
Star midfielder and club captain Bruno Fernandes is third in the line of highest earners at the club, with a weekly income of £240,000 and an annual salary of £12,480,000.
The fact Mount - who was a £55m capture from Chelsea last summer - earns more than Fernandes may come as a surprise given the two's stark contrast in influence on the team. The Englishman struggled with injuries and registered just one goal and one assist all season while club captain Fernandes was once again United's standout player - earning him interest from the likes of Bayern Munich ahead of the summer window.
Premier League odds and betting tipsCasemiro is currently the highest earner at the club with a whopping weekly intake of £350,000 and annual earnings of £18,200,000. However, he is expected to leave the club this summer for Saudi Arabia. Varane was second by earning £340,000 a week and £17,680,000 a year.
French striker Martial was fourth on the list before his contract ran out, as he earned £250,000 every week and £13 million each year.
DON'T SCRAP REPLAYS!
Now with all three of these high earners leaving the club, Rashford, Mount and Fernandes round off the top three footballers on the most money at the club. Antony is the only other squad player who is on more than £10 million a year, with a weekly salary of £200,000.
One of United's standout players of the year, Kobbie Mainoo, is reportedly on one of the lowest salaries across the squad, with a weekly income of £10,000 and yearly intake of just £520,000 - a low amount in comparison to his fellow midfielders.
The England international, however, is expected to be rewarded with a bumper new contract which could his wages rise by 600 per cent.
Mount, meanwhile, was part of the United squad that won a record 13th FA Cup in May this year and will be looking to make more of an impact on the team in the 2024/25 season after missing out on some of last year due to injury.
