Josie Gibson and Rochelle Humes have paid tribute to Sam Rubin following the 64-year-old's sudden death.

Sam, a Hollywood correspondent for This Morning and the host of Hollywood Uncensored, tragically died at the age of 64 after being rushed to hospital.

Variety reports that Sam collapsed with a heart attack while working from his home one morning. He was quickly transported to a Los Angeles hospital by ambulance, but sadly did not survive.

The This Morning family paid tribute to Sam on Friday night, with the ITV show's official Instagram sharing a picture of the late star and telling followers: "There will be a tribute to Sam on Monday's show, but in the meantime we send our condolences to his wife Leslie, their four children and Sam’s colleagues at KTLA."

"Devastating news. So so sad to heart this. Always the kindest and most generous! Praying for his family and loved ones," Rochelle wrote underneath This Morning's tribute, with her co-star Josie adding: "I love Sam. <3 So sad."
