A KEEN Romeo's rather bizarre proposal has left social media users horrified.

An intimate date on the beach, during a holiday or at the same spot you two first met - just some of the ways you could propose to your loved one.

However, one man has caused quite the stir on Reddit after opting for an inking on his arm that read: ''Nicole, will you marry me?''

The now-viral design, which was met with a number of responses, also included a box of ''Yes'' and ''No'', stipulating that if Nicole was to tie the knot with the Romeo, the bride would be his from ''2024 - 4ever''.

According to the man, he'd first seek approval of his girlfriend's father before organising the wedding ceremony.

The post, under the title "do you think she said yes? ", sparked a fierce debate on the forum - but unfortunately, for the tattoo enthusiast, his romantic gesture didn't prove to be a major hit amongst many.

A number of social media users, for example, were wondering what the ink loved would do if his darling ultimately declined the unusual proposal.

Despite the Romeo's bold move to get the proposal tattooed on his body, many people reckoned the daring gesture was also absurd in their eyes.

Jesus... run Nicole, run very far away

One gobsmacked Redditor shared: "I've seen some genuinely impressive levels of idiocy in my forty five years on earth, but this is outstanding."

Another chimed in: "This looks like a picture that would go viral on Facebook in like 2013.

''The fact that this is from 2024 amazes me."

Someone else, meanwhile, wasn't so harsh, sharing how they would act when proposed like that.

"Regardless of how much I loved him I would just have to say no for about half an hour. Too good of an opportunity to miss."

A fourth joked: "And the award for Outstanding Achievement in Idiocy for no reason whatsoever goes to."

The unusual inking sparked jokes and comments, as people said they would've declined the proposal, as the situation was too funny.

A Reddit fan quipped:  "I could be madly and entirely in love and devoted to someone. If they showed up with this that would vanish immediately.

"I would never trust my judgement in dating again after being so head over heels for an impulsive, money wasting, foolish man."

Another advised the woman: "Jesus... run Nicole, run very far away."

Speaking of inking regrets, one woman recently hit the headlines after listing all the tattoos on her body she now insists are weird, including  Miley Cyrus as a zombie.

Sydney  Mulvaney, got the tattoo when Miley launched her Bangerz album in 2013, which included huge hits such as We Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball, widely speculated to address her messy breakup with Liam Hemsworth.

As at the time Sydney, from the USA, was a huge ''anti-fan'' and pretended ''not to like her'' - so instead, she decided to take what she reckoned would be a more ''edgy'' approach.

''Let's get Miley Cyrus as a zombie,'' Sydney said, showing off the design in total silence and without making a single comment.
