A chilling image from a home security camera appears to show a ghostly figure staring at a sleeping child.
The picture was recently shared to the Ghosts Caught On Camera group on Facebook by Jon Kipke from Michigan, US. The timestamp suggests it was captured in August 2022.
Jon wrote: "I'm not sure what this is but one of my inside cameras picked this up. Unfortunately the inside system does not go in video mode, just snapshots of movement and sound. To my knowledge I have never been contacted from the otherside or had any strange things happen to me in my house. But I live in a 100-year-old farm house. Also that is my youngest son sleeping on the floor. I just thought this was interesting."
Explaining further in the comments section, Jon said he has five cameras inside the house but only one seemed to pick anything up on the night. It only took the one photo. He also said the boy's grandfather passed away in July 2022 - one month before the timestamp on the image.
People replied to the post with their guesses as to what the figure could be. One person wrote: "It looks like a gentleman. You can see the outline of his body, head, shoulders, arms. He's also wearing a hat." Another said: "Looks like it’s looking at your son."

A third person said: "Looks like an older woman with short dark hair wearing a house coat? Looks to be glancing down at the child." While a fourth said: "Wow. I don't see a man like other people. I see a woman with black hair and a 40's or 50's style dress. Wearing an apron over it, just the half apron. But, yes she is looking at your son. Her face is too blurry to make out any details but it appears that she has somewhat short, curly hair."
Others, however, weren't convinced something paranormal was afoot. One comment read: "It looks like a smudge on the lens." A second said: "Looks like mist to me." While a third said: "Motion blur."
