Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi were reportedly involved in a furious bust-up before their game against Toulouse - a matter of days after the forward confirmed he will leave the club.

Mbappe, 25, announced on Friday in an emotional video that he will quit PSG at the end of the season when his contract expires. The Frenchman is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

However, ahead of his first game since confirming his departure and his last home match for PSG, Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi were involved in a heated row, according to Le Parisien. The PSG president allegedly wanted to speak to Mbappe before the Ligue 1 clash against Toulouse for clarification on why he did not mention Al-Khelaifi on his farewell message to the club, in which he thanked several people including the supporters.

The private discussion reportedly turned fiery as they were heard 'screaming at each other'. It has been reported that the altercation was so intense that even the 'walls shook'.

But PSG have refuted the claims. They said: "It is disappointing to see more fake news circulating this evening. There has been no dispute whatsoever. The President and Kylian have regularly met before matches to finalise the end of season departure arrangements. Every meeting has been constructive and respectful, including before the match last night.”

Fortunes worsened for Mbappe, as his final game for PSG at the Parc des Princes ended in a 3-1 defeat to Toulouse.

Mbappe was booed by the PSG fans when his name was announced on the tannoy before the match, as the home supporters made their feelings clear on the outgoing forward. Mbappe and PSG are back in action when they travel to Nice in their penultimate Ligue 1 match of the season.

PSG then face Metz on the final day of the campaign, before the French Cup final against Lyon on Saturday, May 25. That will be the last chance for Mbappe to win anymore silverware with the club before he enters his next chapter, which is looking likely to be in Spain with Real Madrid.

Announcing his exit from PSG at the end of the season, Mbappe said: "I've always said that I would speak with you when the time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it's my last year at Paris Saint-Germain. I will not extend and the adventure will come an end in a few weeks.

He added: "It's a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club, one of the best in the world which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure, to grow as a player by being alongside some of the best in history, to meet a lot of people and to grow as a man with all the glory and the mistakes I've made."

Mbappe moved to PSG from Monaco back in 2017 and has since made 307 appearances for the club, scoring 256 goals in the process. He has lifted six Ligue 1 titles with them, as well as eight other domestic trophies.
