Channel 4's George Clarke's life with famous partner after two divorces

George Clarke has had a colourful life and previously admitted he's not a romance expert.

The Amazing Spaces and The Restoration Man star has previously been divorced twice and said "it's not that easy," when asked about relationships. However, the 49-year-old appears to have finally found his everlasting love – and it turns out he's not the only famous person in the relationship.

Two years ago, the presenter and architect went public with his girlfriend, opera singer Florence Hvorostovsky when they were spotted walking hand in hand with one another. But five years on from the death of Florence's former husband, Dmitri, it appears that the couple had the blessing of her in-laws.

But who is Florence? The widowed singer shares two children with her late husband who died in 2017 following a brain tumour diagnosis. The opera singer often shares snaps of her children Maxim and Nina on her social media pages, as well as occasional pictures with George.

Born in Italy, Florence is fluent in Russian and met Dmitri at the Bolshoi Theatre in Geneva back in 1999. The late baritone was performing as Don Juan, with Florence serving as his partner. They struck up a bond after he kissed Florence during rehearsals for the production.

Although Florence no longer lives in Russia, she has continued to keep her late husband's legacy alive by previously preparing concerts in Moscow for the Dmitry Hvorostovsky Foundation. However, these were subsequently paused due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Speaking about her new relationship, a relative of Florence's late husband said they understood why the opera singer was finding love again. His cousin, Alexey Zarkhin told the MailOnline: "We must understand that if a woman doesn't support her femininity, she would quite quickly turn into an old lady.

"Nobody would be interested in her then - neither her children nor anyone else. So however great was her late husband, and however much she loved him, we all - us all, her children, and the public - need a vibrant, lively, beautiful Florence." Although they have made several appearances on the red carpet, including an outing to Wimbledon, George and Florence keep their relationship very low-key.

He has only shared one snap of himself and Florence on his Instagram page, a picture taken during their outing to Wimbledon in July 2023, tagging his partner in the upload. Meanwhile, a month prior, Florence struggled to contain her love for George as she took to the photo-sharing platform.

Sharing an image of the pair holding up a glass of wine, with George's arm wrapped around her, she penned: "My boy. Thank you for taking me St Tropez... First time for me!" alongside a heart emoji. Earlier this year, she declared her love for George as the pair celebrated Valentine's Day together.

The happy couple appeared to be on a romantic break as they flashed a smile towards the camera, with Florence penning: "Happy Valentine's Day George! Thank you for making me happy. I love you."
