The summer transfer window is now officially open and Arsenal have a clear goal - strengthen the attack.
While boss Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu are looking to improve in all areas, the striker position is where the Gunners have placed their focus. In preparation for the window, RB Leipzig sensation Benjman Sesko emerged as Arsenal's No.1 target and they were given indications that the Slovenia international - who'll face England at Euro 2024 - was keen.
However, Sesko has now agreed to extend his contract with the Bundesliga side and forced the Gunners to look elsewhere. Fortunately for Arsenal, one target has already hinted that he's 'ready' for the switch.
Here's a round-up of the latest transfer news from the Emirates.
Toney prepared for move
England striker Ivan Toney has declared that he's 'ready' to join a club like Arsenal after entering the final 12 months of his contract with Brentford. Toney, 28, remains on the Gunners' radar after being linked with a switch to the Emirates in January.

Juventus 'prioritise' Kiwior
New Juventus boss Thiago Motta reportedly wants to reunite with former Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior and has made the Arsenal star a priority ahead of the transfer window. Motta, who was Kiwior's first manager at Spezia in the 2021-22 season, has been announced as Juve's new boss and doesn't want to waste time in the transfer market.
Tutto Mercato Web claim that Motta is keen to work with the Polish defender once again as Juventus prepare to return to the Champions League. Kiwior has long been touted for a return to Serie A, with AC Milan frequently tipped to sign the 24-year-old, who's mostly being used out of position at left-back his since move from Spezia to Arsenal 18 months ago.
Sesko breaks silence
Benjamin Sesko has explained why he snubbed the chance to join Arsenal this summer in favour of signing a new contract with RB Leipzig. The Slovenian striker, 21, told club media after his renewal was confirmed: "I had a good first year at RB Leipzig and am incredibly happy to be here.
"Team, club, city, fans - the overall package is simply outstanding for me. The early contract extension was therefore the logical next step for me."
