Tom Brady has acknowledged a misstep with his Netflix comedy special after Gisele Bundchen was reportedly left unimpressed by the family-related jokes at the roast. The NFL icon, who recently hung up his boots, found himself in hot water as the event aimed to honour his legendary career and charismatic reputation featured digs that didn't go down well with Bundchen.

The star-studded roast featured appearances from celebrities like Tony Hinchcliffe, Bill Belichick, and Kim Kardashian. Nikki Glaser hosted. She clarified that only jokes about the US and Tom's children were off-limits for the roasters.

Despite the audience's laughter and online praise, Bundchen was apparently not on board. She felt that Brady 's portrayal of her family and private life was inappropriate. This incident seems to have strained Brady and Bundchen's already tense relationship.

Brady, who appeared to enjoy himself during the Netflix show, later expressed regret on The Pivot podcast, particularly over how his family was portrayed. He is a father to three: "Jack," 16, with former partner Bridget Moynahan, Benjamin Rein, and Vivian Lake, with his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.

Fred Taylor, the show's co-host, shared with Brady that the roast reminded him of his NFL days from 1998 to 2010. "I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn't like how it affected my kids," Brady confessed. He continued, "It's the bittersweet aspect of, when you do something you think is one way, and all of a sudden you realise 'I wouldn't do that again' because of how it affected [my family]."

He added, "It makes you, in some ways, a better parent going through it because sometimes we're naive or don't know, and when I signed up for that, I loved it when people were making fun of me. Brady admitted that during the Deflategate scandal, which took place during the 2014 AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and the Premier League, he steered clear of sports media. Instead, he delved into Premier League football, golf, and comedy shows.

Brady revealed that whenever he switched on SportsCenter, he was confronted with negative coverage about himself. Searching for a break from the controversy, he yearned for moments of laughter and relief.

When Jeff Ross, the master of celebrity roasts, approached Tom Brady for a Netflix special, the NFL icon jumped at the chance to show off his lighter side. Despite the potential for controversy, particularly with jokes about his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, Brady welcomed the laughter in what seemed like a much-needed break from personal drama.

You don't see the full picture every time," Brady reflected. "It's a good lesson for me as a parent as I go forward because of it. At the same time, I'm happy everyone there had a lot of fun, and outside of that, if we're not laughing about things, we're crying. We should have more fun."
