Gareth Southgate will NOT be sacked by the FA even if England suffer more Euros hurt.
Southgate is out of contract at the end of the year, and talks have not yet been held over a renewed deal. The 53-year-old has even admitted himself that he could leave his post should the Three Lions not win the Euros.
Southgate’s side are among the favourites to lift the trophy this summer. And his FA bosses have now made a decision over whether he could be jettisoned.
It is understood that FA chiefs have no intention of sacking Southgate even if England struggle. He still has plenty of credit in the bank, having led the Three Lions to a World Cup semi-final and the final of the Euros in 2021.
It means that Southgate would still be safe even if England are eliminated in the group. FA chief executive Mark Bullingham is still expecting a successful tournament regardless.

He is desperate to tie him down to a new contract. The FA want Southgate to lead England to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Southgate was previously courted by Sir Jim Ratcliffe but he instead decided to stick by current boss Erik ten Hag. Southgate, however, still wants to return to club football with a top job.
Southgate would consider anything but winning the Euros this summer as a failure. He is also wary of support waning for him having been in charge since 2016.

The former Middlesbrough boss is already England’s longest serving manager since Sir Bobby Robson. Asked about his future, Southgate admitted he could still leave after the Euros.
Speaking to German outlet BILD, Southgate said: “If we don't win, I probably won't be here anymore. So maybe it is the last chance.
“I think around half the national coaches leave after a tournament – that's the nature of international football. I've been here almost eight years now and we've come close.
“You can't constantly put yourself in front of the public and say, ‘A little more please’ as at some point people lose faith. If we want to be a great team and I want to be a top coach, you must deliver in big moments.”
England kick off their latest Euros campaign against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen. They then face games against Denmark and Slovenia.
