Peter Andre is planning his return to pop music after ruling out becoming a dad for the sixth time.

The Aussie crooner, 51, who shot to fame flexing his washboard abs in his debut track, Mysterious Girl, welcomed his fifth child, Arabella Rose, in February with his wife, Emily MacDonagh.

Revealing he and NHS doctor Emily are "pretty sure" Arabella will be their last child, the singer has now released a new single, 28 years after Mysterious Girl.

The track is featured in his upcoming action film Bullet, which Peter also stars in and helped to produce. In the feature-length flick, which is now in pre-production, the singer plays geezer, Flux.

A teaser for Bullet, which was released last month shows the 5 ft 9 Antipodean squaring up to a bruiser in an abandoned boxing gym — with both men backed by thugs, suggesting their roles as crime bosses.

Speaking about how recording the track for the film inspired him to release new music, Peter told The Sun: “It was recording the song for the film that made me realise I wanted to go back to music, but I want to do it differently. I don’t want to just go and release an album and go, ‘Hi guys, this is my brand-new album, I’m trying to get to No1’. That’s not the right way to think. What I am going to do is probably release the song from the film as a single, then I’ll come up with a plan for an album to follow that.”

Admitting he thought about retiring from music all together, Peter said the lockdown during the pandemic made him think otherwise, stating that music 'is a part of him'. The star last secured a No1 single in 2004, with a remix of Mysterious Girl, and in 2009 reached No4 with Behind Closed Doors.

As well as getting back into the recording studio, Peter is also a doting dad to little Arabella, who he says he's getting more time to bond with than his other kids, Junior, Princess, Millie and Theo. Of Arabella’s arrival, Peter told The Sun: “This time we’re pretty sure it’s going to be our last one. Well, never say never. I’m not 100 per cent, but I’m enjoying having time to bond with her. I’ve not really had that chance before."

This week the proud father reached a milestone with his daughter Princess, 16, who is taking her driving lessons. Sharing a video of himself dramatically screaming in terror as the excited teen sat in the driving seat, Pete wrote: “POV: When your daughter’s about to get her licence.” He then asked his 1.9 million followers: “Anyone else got a 17 year old that’s about to drive for the first time? God help us!"
